Connor Boyett made his first start for the UAB Blazers in their first game of the 2010 season. Boyett was the only true freshman to start for the Blazers against the FAU Owls.
His stats were very solid for anyone, especially someone straight out of high school in their first ever start at the Division 1-A level.
Unfortunately, the Blazers lost the lead late, after controlling the game to that point, and had a field goal blocked which would have secured the first victory of the year.
